It'd be great to have more SROs in Boston, like they do have in the Tenderloin-- it's a cheap, small, place to stay for people who are on a tight budget. When done right, they can be decent places to live, like the rooming house Our Lady's Guild House -- although the religious order owning it is trying to evict the current residents...

On the other hand, if you've been to the Tenderloin, it's a harsh reminder of what "ungentrified" can look like: really, really, really sad.
