Hey Hillens--
I've heard about these kinds of efforts, but hadn't seen one around here. I know there are running groups that do this, and it seemed like an interesting idea to combine some fitness and some community. Anyone interested in something like this? The link is broken but I'll try to get more info.

Clean up walks
Date: 2019-02-28 05:08 pm (UTC)I'd be happy to connect Winter Hill with the individual organizing the bi-monthly clean-up walks in East Somerville. I would also be happy to chat more about how East Somerville Main Streets (ESMS) organizes our larger biannual clean-up events as well (if we got enough people we could do Winter Hill/East Somerville clean up days?)
I've love to attend one of your meetings sometime and am happy to chat more about programming in East Somerville and how we can collaborate in the future with our neighbor neighborhood :) I'd love to do a musical festival in Foss Park someday.
I can be reached at Director@Eastsomervillemainstreets.org or at (617)623-3869
Best,
Jen

Date: 2019-03-01 04:57 pm (UTC)Super! Yes, we should connect on that. I'll email you separately. I got someone from the google group who was interested too, so there may be some momentum.
We have done the clean ups with the city (the ones with Groundwork and Comcast). But maybe there is room for more.
I'll reach out.
