I just saw this notice from the Mystic River Water Association. There's a free kayaking event on Saturday Sept. 23. I love to kayak on the Mystic--you would be amazed at how sparse it feels out there, despite being in one of the most densely populated places in the northeast.

But they also want input on the park design. This is right up our neighborhood groups alley--right??

Join us for a community event to share your vision for Somerville's waterfront and get out on the Mystic River. Participants will learn about and give ideas for the Blessing of the Bay Park redesign and rent a canoe or kayak for one hour for FREE!
